Handwoven Scarf (144)
This colorful scarf is made of a blend of alpaca and wool – one for softness, the other for added insulation. The weaver also spun these fibers into a wonderful raspberry, lavender, and bluish colorway. There are random lighter lavender stripes running crossways of the scarf with a grayish blue series of lengthwise stripes. Each end is hemstitched while it was on the loom and the fringe following the hemstitching has been given a French twist to keep it organized during washing. It measures 7 inches wide by 89 inches long – ample length with which to double, wrap and tuck if that is your preferred scarf style. As with most handwoven items, handwash in cool water with a mild soap is recommended. Squeeze out the excess water between two terry towels and line or flat dry for long life.
